Huge congratulations to 5th class student John Mitchell who recently represented Moate in swimming at the Community Games in Limerick.

 John has been swimming with Athlone swimming club since 2015/16.  He has trained early mornings and in more recent times after school Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.  While John has certainly won bronze and silver medals in other competitions he went to Limerick recently to take part in the U12’s National Finals backstroke championships and brought home a gold medal!!

Well done John, all your hard work and training paid off.
