Welcome To St Oliver Plunkett Boys National School

Established in 1937, St. Oliver Plunkett’s B.N.S. is a senior boy’s school situated in the picturesque town of Moate, Co. Westmeath, in the heart of Ireland. We are a Catholic school who cater for 2nd class to 6th class students. In our school we encourage pupils of all ages and abilities to reach their maximum potential.

Our school ethos is “Mol an Oige”- Praise the Youth and they will Prosper. We offer a warm, friendly environment in which pupils can develop through a variety of learning styles.

As a Catholic school, pupils receive religious instruction in preparation for the sacraments of Communion and Confirmation.

At St.Oliver Plunkett B.N.S. our aim is to nurture a strong sense of pride, community and togetherness. Overall, we hope that each child that comes through our doors has an enjoyable and worthwhile experience that will help them develop academically, socially and spiritually.
