St Oliver Plunkett BNS Mission Statement

St. Oliver Plunkett BNS is a Catholic primary school in Moate Parish which strives to provide a well-ordered, caring, happy and secure atmosphere where the intellectual, spiritual, physical, moral and cultural needs of the pupils are identified and nurtured.

We promote self-esteem and confidence, and an integral element of our ethos is the respect for, and dignity of, all members of the school community.  We strive to promote quality and excellence in all areas of school life.

The most important person in St Oliver Plunkett BNS is the child.  Every child attending the school will have the opportunity to grow and develop fully.  The Board of Management and staff will work in co-operation with the parents, in the best interest of the child.

The school community will strive to nurture a sense of responsibility, a sense of pride and a sense of achievement, both academically and morally, in all of its pupils.

Our hopes for each child in our school, is that they once they have completed their primary school education they will leave with happy memories of their time in St Oliver Plunkett BNS.

School starts at 9:20 each morning and finishes at 3 p.m.
Pupils are not permitted on school grounds before 9:00 in the morning.
