January Assembly

Well the students have certainly started the new year off with great gusto.  We had a jam packed assembly starting off with our monthly winners who showed great example to the whole school in the 1st month back.

Mrs. Kelly’s class have been busy studying all things ‘space’.  They showed us their amazing projects on the solar system and then recited a poem about the planets.  To top it all off the boys wowed us with a rap telling us all about our amazing planets.  Fantastic work boys!

Mr. Forde’s class have been learning ‘Shoe the donkey’ on the tin whistle and are planning to learn the dance in the next few weeks.  We are really looking forward to seeing that.

Mr. Daly’s class had us tapping our toes to ‘Molly Malone’ on the tin whistle before showing us some of the projects they have been working on.  New Zealand was their topic and the boys have fact filled projects both created on powerpoints and on posters to show us.  So if you are planning a trip, Mr. Daly’s class can help get you prepared.

Mr. Keena’s class definitely took on the ‘new year, new me’ idea. They created an amazing motivation station in the classroom full of inspirational quotes and what they mean to each of them.  As we have our Monday morning assemblies in Mr. Keena’s room it means the whole school will be able to read these quotes and be inspired for the week ahead.

School starts at 9:20 each morning and finishes at 3 p.m.
Pupils are not permitted on school grounds before 9:00 in the morning.
